Pregnancy Update

So we got a new camera and have been snapping pictures to send off to family for the past week. We took a set of pictures to show how big Ellynn’s belly is getting and it was a picture she actually liked so I think I’m safe in posting it to the blog so you can see what she looks like. The baby is plenty healthy and strong, he spends a good portion of his day kicking away and making Ellynn’s stomach look like a scene right out of “Alien”. With just under 2 months to go we’re sure the belly’s gonna just keep growing…

Ellynn’s Hiking Trip

I just got back from a little overnight backpack with 7 other women in the ward. This first picture is showing you me with my little pack, Meagan with her HUGE pack because she is carrying all of my stuff, and Darla with her normal size pack. i did carry my own clothes but Meags carried the rest. The place we hiked to was called Blue Lake. It was absolutely beautiful.  A nice little 4 miler, pretty easy and pretty muddy. We had a total blast. It had rained the night before so everything was wet but we still got a fire lit and kept it up for hours. Yes, we are amazing. The hiking was fantastic, however sleeping sucked! i think i’ll wait to go backpacking again til i can sleep in my stomach. The last picture is a little beauty i discovered when i took off my shoes. i didn’t even feel it starting! i guess i’m just really tough.

Ok, so obviously we're going to need a new family picture soon...Getting on here and seeing Jessica's head on Justin's stomach? Kinda freaked me out for a second...

Camping!

IMG_0020

Ellynn’s going on a camping trip this weekend with a bunch of mom’s from the ward. We got our new camera last night so I figured i’d snap a quick picture before she left to put up. Meagan took her camera so we should have some good pictures of their little trip. We’ll see how she did when she gets back saturday afternoon. In the meantime i’ll find more things to take pictures of, I really like our new camera. It does some pretty nifty things. Although I do have to say I am pretty jealous to hear of Justin’s Ipod Touch. I’m trying to find a way to talk people into getting me that for my birthday and christmas this year. Haha. Well i’ll talk at y’all again later.

The poll is great. The best part is that so far everyone seems to be in agreement that he is gonna be a big baby. But like Trish said, lets hope he's not too big. :\ He is definately an active little guy. He's getting so big now that every movement is a big one and it almost hurts sometimes, kinda like being tickled. I can't wait to get this kid on the outside! I can't believe i'm finally 7 months. Just 2 more to go! We should be getting our camera in the mail any day now so i'm sure Jason will be posting more pictures for you guys. I wish I was going to have it this weekend. Meagan, Darla and I are going backpacking with 4 other women from the ward tomorrow. I'm excited! It's only a 3 mile hike so I'm not too worried. Plus it's only one night so Meagan will be carrying 90% of the weight. i'll just be taking a little day pack and carrying my own food (if she even lets me do that). Thanks for the pictures. Hope all is well. Love you guys!

Justin's b-day with his new IGJOE set from Ady! Also, fat Charlie & Jack. They're great friends now. Hope you're all well, and don't forget to get on for the poll. The closest winner will get a prize!! hehe But for Ellynn's sake, we hope the baby doesn't weigh too much! hehe

Take care,
Love, Mom

We're so glad to hear about Jason's new job! Ellynn, you've done a wonderful job supporting him through this and Jason, you've done a wonderful job being patient through it all. In a talk the other day I heard the speaker say, "How you know you're on the straight and narrow is when you are constantly faced with trials." The adversary will contiuously try to knock you off your feet, and he begins in the home. President Gibson said at our Stake Conference that the adversary knows your spouse better than you do and will do all he can do destroy a temple marriage because it has eternal consequences for not only your children, but all your posterity.
This is why he begins in the home. Great words of wisdom from our Stake Pres.
It sounds like Jason & Ellynn had a great Stake Conference as well! Always great things to hear at the adult session, which is why this is probably the most important meeting to attend. I'm so glad we did.
So, here are a few pictures to show you. We have Jack, the kitten, who likes to lay on everyone, no matter what they're doing. He's a pretty affectionate cat. During the BYU game, he jumped on Janae's back to camp out. The kids were all wrestling together on the couch during halftime, while Jessica napped downstairs during the entire game. Not sure how we're going to handle a Utes fan being in the house, but I guess I'll just have to endure. haha
Your dad was texting Jason about the game, so that's what he's doing. Oh, and a few days before, we had this incredible lightning, hail, thunder, rainstorm, which just about broke my eardrums, it being so loud! I love storms like that! I was really surprised the lights didn't go out. Darn!
Sorry you're sick Ellynn and I hope you get feeling better. I think I had a miserable cold for the last two months of my first and second pregnancy. Miraculously it disappeared the second I gave birth. Wierd. But you are definitely a trooper and continue to stick it out.
Also good to hear you're doing hair still. The girl that cuts our hair now, Andrea, does it out of her parents home, even though she doesn't live there. Her dad even built her a small salon in their old laundry room. She is so busy she has to turn away clients and even hired her niece to set the appts for her and return phone calls. She has a 2 year old daugher, so this works out well for her.
Women's Conference is coming up soon, on the 27th, so make sure you go. You might see me in the choir. The practices have been quite intense, and it's also been an amazing experience. The RS General Presidency comes to the practices and we get to visit with them. We have a dress rehearsal at the Conference Center this Saturday. We will be wearing white shirts and black dresses. The director, who is awesome, calls us the "Mom's Choir." But the reason they want us in these type of colors is because as they travel the world, especially in 3rd world countries, they notice that all the choirs that sing for them are dressed in the same colors. The women there can always find a white top, even if it's a t-shirt, pulled inside out with the logo on the inside. We need to be relatable so that the spirit can convey the message to whomever, in whatever circumstance they are in. It should be a great meeting, so I hope you all make the effort to go.
Women only of course.... haha
Your dad has his big elk hunt in a few weeks. Paul and Janna are nice enough to let him use their property, which has seen elk on it lately. So pray for him to get his elk, then you can have elk meat next time you come down.
Well, I've rambled longer than Ellynn, so I will say goodbye!! Love you all!

Latest news...

washington willmores

hey guys! long time no talk. just thought i'd give you a quick update. i know you talk to jason but this way i feel like i'm in the loop too.
First of all i can't believe it's half way through september! the weather here is still beautiful! mid 70's in the day and nice and cool at night. it's fantastic! we got in one more camping trip up at cory's parent's place. i had a terrible cold but being outside was great. jason and cory bought machettes (spelling?) so they could hack at the trails we started cutting out with our sticks the last time. they loved it. camping with jason is an experience all in it's own as i'm sure you all know. it was so funny watching him walk off into the woods with his machette, hatchet, hunting knife and walkie-talkie all strapped to his army pants. i will never be scared if i get lost in the woods with him. i know i'm taken care of. meagan and cory forgot their tent poles so they had to sleep down at the house so it was really just jason and i camping over night. and my mattress didn't deflate this time so it was great!
my cold has persisted, turned into a sinus infection and has finally settled into an annoying cough and the sniffles. oh well, there are worse things right? i haven't thrown up in like 2 weeks so i can't complain.
My dad quit his job last week. kind of a scary step but a great one! jason and i drove up to seattle yesterday to help him move home and clean his apartment. it's so nice to have him back home! now we just need to find him a job that will keep him here.
speaking of jobs. the school district finally called jason yesterday and had him come in for an interview for a position as a substitute janitor. the interview went well and he is currently at work!!! so the fact that they had work for him on his first day is a VERY good sign. it means we just might be able to pay the bills! i'm so excited! mostly for jason. he has been amazing the last couple months. it has been so stressful for him and being unemployed that long when you are trying so hard can give your pride a brutal shot. but he has been an absolute champ and i love him. it will be nice if (or rather when) the full time substituting turns into just a full time position. then he will have great benefits and be making a little more. but as it is, we're not complaining.
i am still working one day a week for the 85 year old lady and the guy that lives with her across the street from mom's while mom is traveling all over the western coast to help my siblings. i usually get a couple calls a week for haircuts too which is good. i've done hair for 4 women in the ward so far so hopefully that number will keep growing. it's been nice to be able to do hair while i can still get around pretty easily. however it's always funny when i put the chair too close to the counter and have to move them because i can't get my belly past. hehe, kind of embarrassing actually. we changed the name from Kai to Finn. there are just too many Kais these days and i don't want him to have to be Kai W. when he goes to school. i keep slipping and calling him Kai. the kids do too but we all correct eachother. the kids are so cute. they always say hi to Finn and kiss my belly, sometimes without even saying hi to me! little punks. they are so excited for him to get here. we all are. i'm so done being pregnant! and the sad part is is that i still have 2 more months which will no doubt be the longest. i keep secretly hoping he'll come a month early. by then he's totally developed and won't even have to stay in the hospital like he would if he were 8 weeks early..... okay so patience is not my thing.
i'm going to stop writing now because none of you are going to want to read a novel. i hope all is well. i love you guys and i miss you! i can't wait to see you again, whenever that is.

So we went camping on the property above Cory's parents place. It was a quick trip there and was an easy way to have a fun camping trip. We got to four-wheel ourselves up there which was a fun part that made me and my jeep happy. The trails that Cory used to ride on a lot in high school have grown over with a lot of undergrowth in the past few years so we did some bushwhacking on our hikes. We're all planning on buying machetes for the next trip though. The sticks we were beating at branches with did all right but a real blade probably would have made the job a lot easier. The only downside of the place was all the thorny plants. There were blackberry branches going everywhere and also little vines with tiny thorns that wove all over the ground and tripped everyone of the kids no less than 3 times. We definitely felt rugged even though we were pretty much in someone's backyard. Overall it wasn't a bad little bit of car camping. When you have to four-wheel in and cut your own trail it makes car camping a little less sissified in my book. Hopefully sometime soon me and Ellynn will get our own camera and have more pictures to put up. This trip had mostly pictures of Cory and Meagan's kids as we just copied all their pictures from their camera. All righty well that's about all for this time. Take luck!

Cat-Napping.....

Hi Family!
Hope you're all doing well! Here's a picture of Justin & Jessica's new kitten, Jack. So now we have a Jack and Charlie in the house. Hmmm.... sounds like characters from 'Lost". Coincidental? I think not. The other picture is of Jared, who was napping on the swing. Poor guy.. now that he has a job, he's always tuckered out. He's been doing great though with school and work. And... is now a Priest. We're very proud of him.
Can't wait to see pictures of Jason & Ellynn's camping trip! I'm jealous. Maybe one day we'll go again. Take care and it would be nice to hear from everyone, once in a while!
