From Washington

Hey guys!! I love all the pictures. i'm still waiting for one of jared in his kohlers outfit :) Anyway Washington is beautiful! it was so blistering hot here for a while and then over night went from 106 to 66. now thats what i'm talkin about. the summer has been so busy. my sister brooke was in town until about a week ago with her 4 kids and 2 dogs. it was pretty much craziness! however having sawyer made it all worth it. jason and i like to refer to him as our son. sawyer adores jason and was always in his arms. he would fall asleep in jasons arms during sunday school and he would stay asleep right through priesthood. those two were pretty dang cute together. half way through brooke's stay my cousin jessica, her husband toni and their daughter indi came to visit. we did everything with them that i wish we had had time to do with you guys. we went to the ocean, tillamook cheese factory, the lake, the original spaghetti factory in portland, walked on the waterfront etc. it was so much fun. i'll have to get jason to post some pictures for you guys.
Jason is still searching for a job as you guys know and i'm working on getting my license up here. we've been pretty lucky that we've both been able to work for my mom's neighbor off and on and i've been able to do some hair for people in the ward but it is getting scary so keep us in your prayers. on the upside i have loved having jason around as much as he has been. i know some days he is going out of his mind with stress and boredome but he does a good job of not letting it show too much because when i start feeling all the stress... well we all know how well i deal with that.
Yesterday the two of us went up to some falls not too far from here and walked around. it was beautiful! it makes me happy when i see how much jason loved the scenery here because i think it's the most beautiful place on earth. it made us both wish we could find my camera, or afford a new one. good thing his phone has a pretty decent camera on it.
Kai seems to be as healthy as ever. he is always kicking the crap out of me. he's a very active little guy, especially at night when i'm trying to go to sleep. but he usually quiets down if jason puts his hand on my stomach. still in the whomb and already obeys his daddy. he's gonna be a good one!
i got to teach relief society on sunday and it went really well. i loved it! i went about 3 minutes over so i don't know that they'll ask me to do it again but it was so fun. i love teaching. mom wasn't there because she had already left for utah but darla and meagan both came. i know i was talking way fast during the whole thing but there was a lot to cover. revelation is just such an amazing gift that we've been given.
we love and miss you guys daily. hope you're all doing well.

The latest....

Hello Family! Here's a picture of Jared on his 16th birthday morning I forgot to post. I thought it was pretty funny. He left that donut until noon, when he awoke, and then ate it. He will become a Priest this Sunday. The other pictures are of Jess on her first day of school, next to her dad..... no, he didn't go with her. And then Janae and Holly up in AF canyon at a picnic we went on today. (I have Holly for 4 days).
This Sunday, we move into the new building. The dedication is at 5pm. Justin is having dinner with her old MP on Sunday, so he'll miss that.
How is life in Washington, Jason & Ellynn? Here's a quote that I came by and will pass onto you. "Stand fast, ye Saint of God, hold on a little while longer, and the storm of life will be past, and you will be rewarded by that God whose servants you are." Joseph Smith

(i hope you know when i'm using sarcasm!) haha yep, i'm gonna be a sevvy! jr. high. but pretty much that's what i'm doing. oh, and i'm attempting to write a story! yippee! well, that's it!

From the HomeFront

Hi Family,
School starts tomorrow for Jess and on Monday for Jared. They went school shopping and got some fun outfits and supplies. Jessica (Justin's) just got over being sick and is now feeling much better due to the help of Sis Spackman. Jessica followed her remedy to the 't' and felt 90% better the next morning. She's still taking her herbal pills and I think is afraid to go off them. haha
Your dad has a meeting with State Fire officials in Salt Lake tomorrow to finally be put on the list for contracts. This is a good step, one we've been waiting for. Now, we can have a contract and will be on the list when they decide to call a water-enhancer company to come help with a wildfire.
I get to sing in the Women's Choir for General Women's Conference, which is Sept 27th, so you can look for me on the big screen! I hope they don't do any close ups. haha But it's a wonderful opportunity. I am the Stake Rep for Choir. There will be 7 Stakes from Highland and Alpine performing. Each ward called 5 sisters to be in it. It's a calling. We start practices this Sunday night. Me and Jess are also singing in Sacrament this Sunday.
Jared got a job at Kohler's. He starts Monday. I think he's excited. It's hard to tell with him.
Janae starts the Fall session in a few weeks. She's trying to find a CNA job right now since that's what they will want her to be doing when she applies for the LPN program.
Well, that's the scoop here. Let us know how you're all doing.
I will post some pictures tomorrow of Jared & Jess's Back to School Fashion Show.
Love ya!

Hellooooo fam!

Well doesn't Jared just look FABULOUS in that header photo(spoken in silky smooth lispy voice;). So i did up a post earlier where i didn't know what i was gonna say and then had to do some other stuff and remembered some pictures we took. We went to a waterfall that is along I-84 which is the highway by the columbian river. The family may have seen it on the trip. so i'm gonna post some of those pics we took. It was a cool waterfall, reall high. we took a hike to the top of it which was only 1 mile but was really steep kinda like the trail to Timpanogos Cave. It was kind of an impromptu hike and the kids whined all the way to the top and Ellynn was a trooper and lugged her and the belly up the trail. It was a really pretty area. We'll definitely have to drag you guys up here again sometime for some outdoor trips. TTFN...tata for now!

Jared's 16th Birthday!

Here's the first family photo. Jared takes the cake with all three of these pictures, haha Jared's hiding in both pictures... I give up.
Have fun sharing your pictures everyone. It will be fun to have our own family blog... just remember to use it once in a while.
Love Mom
